Museum Partners with GAR Foundation
The GAR Foundation announced the launch of a new investment called Essential Experiences, which will allow the second graders of Akron Public Schools to participate in educational experiences at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.
The Museum’s Fossils to Fur experience will challenge second graders to use investigative tactics, research skills, and knowledge of fossils to understand prehistoric life on Earth. Back in the classroom, students will apply their experience to a series of activities relating to careers that study prehistoric life and its ecosystems.
The Museum will be one of six institutions to provide Essential Experiences to the students of Akron Public Schools. Other participating organizations include the Akron Art Museum, the Akron Zoo, ArtSparks, Hale Farm & Village, and Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens.
