Executive Director & CEO Speaks at TEDxCLESalon
Dr. Evalyn Gates, Executive Director & CEO of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, was a featured speaker at City Club of Cleveland’s panel discussion Friday, November 20 on the TEDxCLESalon Stage.
Moderated by City Club CEO Dan Moulthrop, the panel discussion, entitled “With Love From Einstein: The Big Bang Theory, GPS Technology and Warps in Space” celebrated the legacy of Albert Einstein on the 100th anniversary of his groundbreaking Theory of Relativity.

Dr. Gates is a physicist and author who has served as the Museum’s director since 2010. She holds a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Case Western Reserve University and in 2009 published her first book, Einstein’s Telescope: The Hunt for Dark Matter and Dark Energy in the Universe. Her most recent research focused on various aspects of dark matter and searching for ancient stellar fossils in the form of white dwarfs. Dr. Gates is a strong advocate for the advancement of women and minorities in the physical sciences and has written several articles and presented talks on the topic of women in physics.
