The Museum Expands Business Hours

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE— The Cleveland Museum of Natural History is expanding its business hours to be open to the public Wednesday through Sunday, 10am–5pm. The adjusted business hours will take effect on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.

The Museum has enforced its safety protocols since July 1 with great success. Since then, the Museum has strategically adjusted its hours of operations as needed, while remaining open to some degree the entire time.

In conjunction, the Museum adopted new virtual programming, including CMNH@HOMECMNH@NIGHT, and DiscoverE. The Museum also adapted existing programs, including its Explorer Lecture Series, the member-exclusive After Hours, and popular summer camps, for the virtual sphere. Collectively, these efforts have allowed the Museum to continue to serve its community of learners to the fullest extent.

The expanded hours of operation will offer members of the community even more flexibility to engage with the Museum on a schedule that works best for them, while adhering to strict safety guidelines.

The safety of visitors, staff, and animals remains the Museum’s top priority. The Museum will continue to implement safety protocols, including operating at a reduced capacity, maintaining a single flow of traffic through the building, conducting temperature checks at the entrance, and requiring masks for all guests over the age of 2, among other measures. These measures are in accordance with CDC recommendations and with Destination Cleveland’s Clean Commitment, which standardized cleanliness practices for Cleveland’s tourism and hospitality businesses.

Advance-purchase tickets are required, and no walk-up admissions or walk-up member visits are permitted at this time. Those looking to reserve tickets to visit the Museum can do so in advance online.
