Perkins Wildlife Center Wins Award of Excellence


The Cleveland Engineering Society's 65th Annual Design and Construction Conference Award Ceremony was held yesterday and the Ralph Perkins II Wildlife Center & Woods Garden — Presented by KeyBank won the top prize, an Award of Excellence, under the New Construction - Small Project Category.

The Award read as follows:
In recognition of the excellence in overall design, engineering and construction by creating a sanctuary for animals and humans, with an inspiring mix of aesthetics and function through the innovative use of space, materials and sustainable resources.





















The illustrious winners in other major categories included:

  • The Cleveland Institute of Art Building
  • The Drury Plaza Hotel
  • The Ohio Theater Lobby
  • The Downtown Hilton Hotel
  • The George Voinovich Innerbelt Bridge and Highway
  • The Metroparks Zoo for three projects: Tiger Passage, Giraffe Crossing and Stillwater Place.
The Cleveland Engineering Society (CES) is a non-profit professional membership organization comprised of more than 500 corporate and individual members representing the diverse engineering and technology spectrum. CES connects northeast Ohio’s engineering community to share experience and expertise, explore new technologies, business strategies, trends and issues, and address regional workforce and economic development.
