It’s the responsibility of all of us to protect and preserve our exhibit specimens and collections. We hope to see you soon!
The Museum Prohibits the Following:

Explosives, firearms, knives, weapons, and noxious gases or substances

Bikes, roller skates, skateboards, scooters, or other wheeled conveyances other than wheelchairs, strollers, or wagons

Smoking, including electronic smoking

Smokeless tobacco and chewing gum

Luggage and small carry-ons, including those on wheels

Dogs or other pets (service animals permitted; please see Accessibility & Amenities for more information regarding service animals)

Running, climbing, or sitting on exhibits or railings

Carrying children on shoulders

Creating a disturbance, yelling; audible music devices

Soliciting; posting or distributing any sign, notice, ad, or print material

Entering any nonpublic area without authorization

Pens, markers, paint, charcoal, or pastels (pencils are permitted)

Use of flashlights or laser pointers

Flash photography, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, additional lighting, or professional video equipment

Balloons, balls, or sports equipment
Please Note the Following Museum Policies:

All bags, backpacks, and briefcases are subject to inspection and the Museum reserves the right to decide what is acceptable for entry

For safety and health reasons, guests must wear appropriate attire, including shoes and shirts

Children 14 years of age and younger MUST be accompanied by an adult

Wheelchairs are welcome and available at the Museum (learn more about Accessibility & Amenities)

Strollers and wagons are welcome unless otherwise noted in certain special exhibitions

Please do not touch Museum exhibits unless specifically stated on the exhibit

Please be courteous to others when using a cell phone in the public or gallery spaces

Please be courteous to persons with disabilities when using elevators and benches

For private, noncommercial purposes, visitors are permitted to take still photographs and video using point-and-shoot cameras, phones, and handheld video equipment only, provided there is no disruption to Museum operations or guest accessibility

Photography is not permitted in traveling exhibits
