Recognizing Black women innovators throughout the region

Destiny Thomas Named 2024 She Leads 100 Honoree



This month, the Museum was proud to celebrate Astronomer Destiny Thomas, who was named a 2024 She Leads 100 honoree by the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc.—Greater Cleveland Chapter (NCBW). This award aims to recognize outstanding Black women innovators in our region who are working to inspire the next generation of leaders. Since joining the Museum, Destiny has shared her passion for science education and community programming with countless visitors to our Nathan and Fannye Shafran Planetarium.  
 
Her recognition by the NCBW is a testament to Destiny's enthusiam and commitment to STEM education within the Cleveland community.
