Next week, the Museum’s President and CEO, Sonia Winner, will open the 2020 Everything Cleveland speaker series at Cru Uncorked, a French fine-dining restaurant in Moreland Hills, OH. Her presentation, titled “Explore, Engage, and Empower for a Better Tomorrow,” will illustrate the Museum’s impact in our community as a legacy institution with nearly 100 years of service to the Greater Cleveland area. 

 

During this one-night-only event, which includes wine, light hors d'oeuvres, and a chance to mingle with fellow enthusiasts, Winner will also will delve into the Museum’s current place in our community and outline a vision for the Museum’s future. She’ll highlight new strategic priorities and a physical transformation and expansion of the Museum’s campus, all of which align to better serve our region in the years to come.

 

Attendees will have the chance to ask Winner questions about the Museum and her extensive professional experience, which extends beyond her leadership here at the Museum. She has served on the Board of Trustees of the Cleveland Bar Association, the fifth largest bar association in the country, focusing on issues of diversity and strategic planning. She is also the past chair of the Young Lawyers Section and past president of the Law Placement Association of Cleveland. Additionally, she volunteered as guardian ad litem on behalf of abused and neglected children, and has served on the state board of the American Civil Liberties Union, attending two national conventions addressing free speech and individual liberties.
