Museum Named Fairport Community Beacon Recipient

Fairport Asset Management named the Museum their 7th annual Community Beacon recipient. Fairport selects one charitable organization per year that reflects the firm’s values of providing meaningful support to the Northeast Ohio community. The Museum was selected based on its mission — to inspire, through science and education, a passion for nature, the protection of natural diversity, the fostering of health and leadership to a sustainable future.

More than 300,000 visitors and students became better acquainted with the natural world around them and their place within it last year. Through programs onsite, outreach into schools and the community, and interactive videoconferencing around the globe, the Museum strives to inspire the next generation of scientists and informed citizens. Our new Perkins Wildlife Center, which opened last September, has been called the “best two acres in Cleveland” and is part of a larger Centennial Campaign, a bold transformation of the Museum’s galleries and research spaces to celebrate its 100th year in 2020.

Fairport recently became a Corporate Partner, and they have many employee and family events planned at the Museum over the next year. In an announcement sent to their clients, Fairport stated they are ‘thrilled to help the Museum inspire the next generation of scientists and citizens.’ We are thrilled, too!
